The competition was intense and exciting right from the start as players, coaches, and fans all crowded around the stage to see the guys battle it out for their respective teams.  There was a lot of trash talk throughout the tournament, especially from those in Carolina blue as point guard Ty Lawson from UNC was dominating his side of the bracket.  His teammates were in full force behind him during each game making it known that they were the team to beat.

On the other side of the bracket UNC’s Mike Copeland was having his way with each opponent he faced as well.  For the first time ever the championship match consisted of two players from the same team. The North Carolina group in attendance was on cloud nine to see their players in the final game.  Head Coach Roy Williams was there to cheer on both of his players and was impressed to see that Ty and Mike were actually playing good defense in the game.
